New Rotary Year Starts by Honoring Female Members
From the Jul 15, 2025 e-Edition
McKENZIE (July 8) — McKenzie Rotary Club started its new year by honoring the ladies in attendance, whether a member or visitor.
Ricky Price is the newly installed president of the club and Armand Hebert is the vice president. Both presented a small bouquet of flowers to each of the lady members and visitors. Rotary was once an all-men’s service club. McKenzie Rotary was the first club in the district to induct women into the club and has since had several female presidents.
In other business, the club planned its 2025-26 year of activities, including the annual auction, academic banquets, sponsorship of sports teams, and charitable work.
The club convened on Tuesday noon at the new McKenzie Taproom on Broadway Street.
AnneMarie Tanner welcomed everyone to the new McKenzie business, a sister to Paris Station in downtown Paris. She noted that it is a family-oriented company that seats 50 persons, provides good food, and offers custom brews.
