Track or Treat Brings Karaoke, Costume Fun to Trezevant
From the Oct 28, 2025 e-Edition
TREZEVANT (October 25) — The Town of Trezevant hosted its fourth annual Track or Treat Halloween celebration over the weekend at the Trezevant Community Park.
The event honored its yearly tradition of costume contests, karaoke and trunk-or-treat booths. There were six total booths set up for trunk or treat, two bouncy houses, and a maze. Attendees could get free hot dogs and hamburgers or purchase sno cones from the Small Town Sno mobile truck.
Each year, coordinator Mary Jo Hall said the Town of Trezevant’s goal is to increase the event’s attendance and participation.
“I want to keep our town alive and going. The more people participate, the more our town will thrive,” Hall said.
Costume contests began at 5:30 p.m., starting with ages zero to four years old. The five-to-eight-year-old contest began directly afterward.
Five-month-old Waelynn Black, dressed as a cow, won first place in the first costume contest. One-year-old Willow Spain, dressed as a Flintstone character, won second place. One-year-old Evelynn Davis, also dressed as a Flintstone character, won third place.
Seven-year-old Blakely Spain, dressed as Hermione Granger, won first place in the second costume contest. Five-year-old Emerson Keen, dressed as Wednesday Addams with the Thing, won second place. Seven-year-old Finlee Peevyhouse, dressed as an ice cream fairy, won third place.
The night continued with a karaoke contest, during which attendees could walk up and perform any song of their choice. McKenzie girls Harper, Saylor, Dawsyn and Ramsey Allen won the karaoke contest after performing choreographed songs and dances to children’s song “The Lady with the Alligator Purse” and Megan Moroney’s “Tennessee Orange.” The group received Halloween-themed reusable cups and candy.
The event ended near 7:30 p.m., and attendees dispersed as rain began to fall on the park.
