Twin Rivers Orthopeadics, Baptist Medical Open Clinic in McKenzie

McKENZIE (MAY 8) — Twin Rivers Orthopeadics and Baptist Medical Group held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new clinic in McKenzie, on State Route 22 near McKenzie High School.
McKenzie Chamber of Commerce coordinated the event as medical professionals, local business people, and government officials gathered to welcome the new medical services to the city.
Dr. Heather Gulish Melton is the orthopeadic surgeon, who performs surgery at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Carroll County in Huntingdon. Melton practiced along with her father, the late Dr. Eugene Gulish of Paris and practices with her brother, Jesse Gulish, who is her surgical assistant - a physician assistant and X-Ray technician.
Dr. Melton is the team physician for Bethel University.
Dr. Heather Melton is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon. She has received specialized training in issues of the foot and ankle, as well as advanced orthopaedic and minimally invasive surgery training. Her family has called Paris, Tennessee, home for almost 30 years. She works every day to continue the tradition her father began of providing exceptional orthopaedic care in her community. In 2011, Dr. Melton received the Tennessee Sports Physician of the Year.
Devan Ramer of Paris is the physician assistant who meets with patients at the McKenzie clinic. Devan is a Dresden native, graduate of Bethel University, where he played collegiate football, and a graduate of Bethel’s Physician Assistant program. He is married to Hannah McBroom Ramer, a Bethel graduate, a former McKenzie teacher, and now is the director of YoungLife in Henry County. They have one son, Jack.
Twin Rivers Orthopeadics performs surgery exclusively at Baptist-Carroll County on scheduled days of Tuesdays and Thursday and in emergency situations. The orthopeadic group has offices in McKenzie and at Eastwood Clinic in Paris.
In one-half of the McKenzie clinic, Baptist Medical Group offers medical services in the areas of rehabilitation, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. They also work with the McKenzie Rebels as the sports trainer.
