Young Honored by Rotary
From the Jun 3, 2025 e-Edition
McKENZIE (May 27) — Local businessman and philanthropist, Ash Young, CEO of Cachengo, was recently recognized for his financial contribution to Rotary International. The Young family donated $250,000 to establish an endowment within The Rotary Foundation. The size of the donation put the Young as what is known in Rotary as the Arch Klumph Society.
Named after the sixth international president of Rotary, the Arch Klumph Society recognizes The Rotary Foundation’s highest tier of donors — those who have contributed $250,000 or more during their lifetime. Klumph promoted the idea of “endowments for the purpose of doing good in the world.” That year, the first gift of $26.50 was made — the beginning of what would become The Rotary Foundation. Klumph was selected as one of the first trustees.
To honor Klumph’s vision and foresight, the Arch Klumph Society (AKS) was created in 2004 during Rotary International’s 2004-05 centennial celebration. Then and now, the society provides a meaningful way to recognize the Foundation’s most dedicated donors.
Young is only the seventh AKS in local Rotary District 6760 and only the second living AKS.
