Vandalism — According to a report made by Deputy Alex Sherwood on December 26, 2024, he was dispatched to a residence in Yuma in reference to tires being slashed. The complainant, Gideon Gooch, advised that an unknown person came on his property and slashed two tires on his truck. The vehicle was owned by his father that resides at the same residence. Gideon couldn’t think of anyone who would be upset enough to slash his tires.

Driving on Revoked, Suspended — On December 23, Officer Dexter Richardson clocked on his radar Conrado Jimenez, 28, driving 73 miles per hour in a 55-mph zone.

Aggravated Assault, Domestic Assault, Interfering with 911 Emergency Call — On December 30, 2024, McKenzie Police received several calls from a Walnut Circle residence. Two of the calls hung up before speaking with dispatch. On the third call, the caller stated that she had been in an altercation with her boyfriend but he had left the scene.

Leaving the Scene of an Accident — On December 15, Sgt. Davis responded to a hit-and-run call at Dollar General located on Highway 22 in McKenzie. Upon arriving on scene a witness described a white male wearing a hat, black hoodie, and shorts, stating the male got into a gold pickup truck and backed into a black Honda Civic that was sitting in a parking spot near the front of the store. The witness said the driver never stopped and left the scene heading toward Gleason on Hwy 22.
