DRESDEN (August 30) — Head Coach Keith Hodge took his McKenzie Rebels to Dresden High School Friday to face his former team and to make a statement in Class 1A after a barnburner win to start the season last week against historical rival and Class 2A powerhouse Huntingdon. more
ATWOOD (August 29) — The West Carroll Junior High War Eagles hosted McKenzie Thursday night at the halfway mark of the middle school football season. more
HUNTINGDON (August 29) — Huntingdon Middle School hosted McKenzie softball Thursday. The Fillies played well on both sides of the ball, including a shutout by pitcher Marcie Mitchell, for a 9-0 victory. more
MILAN (August 20) - The McKenzie High School cross country teams competed Tuesday in the Milan Invitational. more
HUNTINGDON (August 23) - Sometimes, you can believe the hype. A breathtakingly massive audience gathered at Paul Ward Stadium Friday to see the highly-anticipated season opener between the Mustangs and the visiting McKenzie Rebels, and the teams put on a show worthy of the storied rivalry. Huntingdon seemed to be in control with two early touchdowns, but McKenzie tied the game at 14-14 before halftime. After trading TDs in the third quarter, the Rebels took their first lead, 24-21, with a field goal to start a wild fourth quarter. Four more touchdowns meant four lead changes, and the Rebels took a final lead with just 22 seconds on the clock for a 38-35 victory. more

After a quick touchdown by the Lions, the Rebels pulled ahead by a dozen three separate times only to see Dresden climb back each time. After a wild fourth quarter, McKenzie held on for a 32-28 victory. more
