JACKSON (November 26) — McKenzie High School traveled to Jackson Christian School Tuesday for a pair of basketball contests. The Lady Rebels kept the game in reach until the Lady Eagles pulled away in the fourth for a 58-43 win. The Eagles built their lead in the second quarter en route to a 66-39 win over a six-man Rebel squad.

MEMPHIS (November 29) — The McKenzie Rebels traveled to the Bluff City on Black Friday for a TSSAA Football Semifinal with a trip to the state championship on the line. They met the MASE Phoenix at Crump Stadium and stormed out to a 19-0 lead in the second quarter.

BRADFORD (November 23) — McKenzie traveled to Bradford High School Saturday evening for a pair of Hall of Champions (preseason) contests. The Lady Rebels were dominant in their first win of the year, 56-26. The Rebels, still short-handed while football continues, fell 70-35.

McKENZIE (November 23) — McKenzie High School hosted Greenfield Saturday afternoon for a pair of Hall of Champions (preseason) contests. The short-handed Rebels picked up a gritty first win, 66-63, on the back of Carter Kee’s 33 points. The Lady Yellowjackets leaned heavily on the three for a 61-36 win over the Lady Rebels.

McKENZIE (November 14) — McKenzie Middle School hosted Dresden Thursday for a pair of basketball contests. The Lady Rebels led for most of the game, but the Lady Lions rallied late for a 37-35 win. The Lions pulled away in the second half to defeat the Rebels, 48-31.

McKENZIE (November 12) — McKenzie Middle School hosted Huntingdon Tuesday for a pair of basketball contests. The Fillies controlled the opener from the jump and ran away with a 58-12 win. The Rebels and Mustangs went back-and-forth in the nightcap, but McKenzie finished strong to claim a 33-28 victory.

McKENZIE (November 15) — McKenzie High School hosted Eagleville Friday for a second-round contest in the TSSAA Football Playoffs. The Eagles held the Rebels to a single first-half touchdown, but McKenzie’s defense was even more staunch from start to finish for a 28-0 shutout victory.

McKENZIE (November 5) — McKenzie Middle School hosted West Carroll Tuesday for a pair of basketball contests. In a low-scoring game, the Lady War Eagles dominated the first half, but the Lady Rebels stormed back late for a 16-14 win. The Rebels took a big lead early and coasted to a 43-16 victory.

NASHVILLE (November 4) — The Tennessee Sports Writers Association announced football rankings after Week 11 on Monday, with the poll presented by CoachT.com. Top 10 teams in each of the six Division I classifications and Top 5 in three Division II classes were selected by TSWA members with first-place votes in parentheses and total points based on 10 points for a first-place vote through one point for a 10th-place vote.
