MARTIN (January 18) — The Northwest Tennessee Beekeepers Association presents its annual Beekeepers Short Course for intermediate and beginning beekeepers or anyone interested in honey bees.
Promoters of beekeeping say the Beekeepers Short Course is an exciting and informative way to be introduced to the amazing world of beekeeping.
This course is designed to inform the public about the basic benefits of honeybees to our society, from honey to health, and guidance for beginning and maintaining a colony of honeybees.
Those attending the Beekeepers Short Course will enjoy fellowshipping with one another. Lunch will be provided and door prizes with be awarded. The cost of the beekeeping course and meal is $30 per person.
The course is Saturday, January 18 on the third floor of the UTM Skyhawk Press Box, located on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Martin. The public is instructed to follow the NWTBA signs to the parking lot in front of the stadium – the driveway is off University Street.
Registration is 8:30-9:00 a.m. and the program is 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
