LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville track & and field teams hosted their only meet of the indoor season at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational on Jan. 26-27 at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
The two-day event stands as one of four meets staged in the United States and the only meet hosted by a university to be included on the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Tour, holding a bronze-level classification.
The Tour, founded in 2016, was created as a series of indoor track & and field meets that were designed to raise the profile of indoor track & field and allow for high-level competition outside of World Championship events.
The meet featured over 25 schools, seven of which are members of Power Five conferences, while also providing opportunities for athletes competing in the professional ranks to compete unattached.

The Louisville men's squad came into the meet after receiving the No. 22 ranking in the season's first installment of the USTFCCCA National Ratings Index on Monday. Along with the Cardinals, the meet was headlined by three other ranked teams, led by Texas Tech's top-ranked men's team.
Bethel University Track team members Stetson Childress, Carson Warman and Braden Wallace competed in the prestigious meet.
Childress led the way for the Wildcats, finishing with a time of 8:42 in the 3,000m. This finish not only puts him second all time in the history of Bethel University but also spots him 45th in the nation for NAIA rankings. Childress also competed in the mile finishing the race in 4:25 which is a top five-time all- time finish in Bethel history in the mile.
Braden Wallace also had a big finish in the 5000m at the invite. Wallace finished the race in 16:28, making it a top-five indoor 5k time in school history.
Warman competed in the 800m run finishing with a time of 2:07 respectively while also finishing the mile race in 4:57.
