Bethel’s Lesha Kizer Named to 2019 NAIA Softball All-American Second Team

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2019 Softball All-America teams, selected by the NAIA All-America committee. Senior catcher Jaci Smith of Oklahoma City has been named the NAIA Player of the Year and senior Olivia Brees of Baker (Kan.) is honored as the NAIA Pitcher of the Year. The All-America teams are comprised of First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention selections.
Bethel’s Lesha Kizer was named to the second team.
The senior from Lexington, Tennessee was named First Team All-SSAC. She was second in the conference in batting average at .444. She was also second in runs driven in with 46. Kizer had 68 hits, 17 doubles and seven home runs while slugging .693 and posting a .506 OBP. In her career at Bethel she had 26 home runs and drove in 128 runs. She had a career batting average of .376 and a career OBP of .459.
