Larry Morgan Dance Party
The McKenzie Senior Center hosts the Larry Morgan Dance Party Saturday, August 5 at 7 p.m. Admission is $6.

Eagle Wing Motorcycle Association Meeting
The Eagle Wing Motorcycle Association (EWMA) is organizing a new chapter in McKenzie and meets August 13 at 2 p.m. at the McKenzie Senior Citizen’s Center. Anyone interested in joining is welcome to attend.
An EWMA representative will attend to answer any questions.

Southern Fried Nuptials
Carroll Arts presents Southern Fried Nuptials, directed by Glynda Rich and Denise Sam. The production is Thursday, August 24 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, August 27 at 2 p.m. at the McKenzie High School Theatre. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at the door.

Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church Revival
Everyone is invited to attend Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church’s revival, August 6-11 at 7 p.m. Bro. Phillip Gulledge and Bro. Noah Hampton will help Pastor Bro. Jeff Bryant. Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church is in Carroll County.

Greater Enon Church Hype Night
The Greater Enon Church promises H.Y.P.E. (Helping You Pursue Eternity) Night on Saturday, September 3, will not be “the usual church experience.” Beginning at 6 p.m., people of all ages are encouraged to attend and bring a friend to the special service at Greater Enon Church at 313 Walnut Ave., McKenzie.
The theme is “I’m R.E.T.R.O.: Removing Everything That Represents Obstacles.”

Take Off Pounds Sensibly

Caring Hearts Food Pantry
The Caring Hearts Food Pantry offers food distribution the second Saturday of each month, 9-11 a.m., at Mt Zion United Methodist Church, 120 Mt. Zion Road, Huntingdon.

Adult Education Classes

Carroll County Commission meets the second Monday of each month, 7 p.m., in the Conference Room of the Carroll County Office Complex, High Street, Huntingdon. There are no meetings in December, February, and July.

The Carroll County Democratic Party meets the third Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. at 12740 Lexington Street, Huntingdon.

Shepherd’s Table Community Kitchen
The Shepherd’s Table community kitchen serves meals the third Tuesday of each month at First Presbyterian Church located at 19835 East Main Street, Huntingdon. Meals are served restaurant style with drive-through available after 6 p.m. It is open to the public and there is no cost. Donations are accepted. All are invited. It is our mission to create a community atmosphere where individuals can come in and have a meal in a comfortable setting. We encourage friendly conversation, prayers and laughter. The Carroll County Fair is August 9-12 at the Fairgrounds, Mustang Drive, Huntingdon. Beauty revues are Saturday, August 5 and Saturday, August 12. No other details are available.

Bethel University Begins Classes on August 14
Bethel University students begin classes on the McKenzie campus on August 14. The Freshman Orientation begins the week of August 10.

McKenzie Sweet Tea and Southern Pickin’s Festival
McKenzie’s annual Sweet Tea and Southern Pickin’s Festival is August 25-26.
