Carroll County Drive-Through Baby Shower was a Huge Success

HUNTINGDON, Tenn. (August 24, 2022) -On August 24th the Carroll County Health Council, Community Advisory Board and Healthy Families West Tenn. hosted a drive-through baby shower at the Carroll County Civic Center. Forty-two families were provided with goodie bags full of resources for new moms, including diapers and children’s books. Over 25 door prizes were presented, which included items such as a changing table, a baby bathtub, gift cards and more. One participant commented she was just expecting a gift card and a baby toy. She was excited to receive so many helpful items and was glad she decided to come.
The event was held in August as part of the promotion for Breastfeeding Awareness month. On site vendors and agencies that provided door prizes included Northwest Tenn. Head Start and Early Head Start, the Carroll County Health Department, CCR&R, Family & Children’s Services; PBS; Baptist Memorial Hospital-Carroll County; Tennessee Commission Children & Youth, Carroll County Prevention Coalition, Hometown Health Clinic, Amerigroup, Community Action Center, Northwest Adult Education Center, Carl Perkins Center, United Way, Carroll County Library and Beating Hearts.
