Carroll County Prevention Coalition

The Tennessee Department of Mental Health Substance Abuse Services Division has awarded Carroll County $35,000 to conduct drug coalition activities from December 15 until June 31. Additionally, they have agreed to fund the Coalition for fiscal year 2019 and onward.
The grant funds are intended to focus on: Addressing binge drinking among 14-25 year olds; Tobacco use among 12-17 year olds; and non-medical prescription drug use by the total population.
Funds have been dedicated to hire a full-time coordinator, purchase supplies, and provide funds for the enforcement.
The Coalition meets on the third Tuesday of each month at noon at the Carroll County Technical Center. For more information, please contact Lisa Norris at 986-8908.
