Assault — Herbert Allen Tilton, 42, of 21185 Seminary Street, Hollow Rock, was arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman at a local business on October 3.

According to the report by Deputy Michael Sevarns, Tammy Rae Phipps of Hollow Rock received a text from Tilton asking for money to buy cigarettes, and when Phipps texted that she did not have any money, Tilton texted that he was going to slit her throat. Phipps then left her residence and started walking to a neighbor’s house. She got as far as Hometown Market when Tilton came up behind her and grabbed her by the hair. Phipps got free after kicking Tilton in the knee and ran to the front door of the store and started knocking. Tilton grabbed Phipps again and said he was going to kill her. Seeing what was happening, the store owner grabbed a gun, came to the door, and pointed the gun at Tilton, who then ran off toward the railroad tracks.

Intoxication, Trespassing — Gary Lynn Wallace, 49, 1005 Highway 190, McKenzie, was charged with aggravated criminal trespassing and public intoxication during a September 28 incident in McKenzie.

According to the report by Deputy Frank McGee, Wallace had been dropped off by a female subject at a residence at 6635 Highway 190, and he tried to enter the residence through the front door. Residents told Wallace to leave, but he became angry and then started going through a vehicle parked at the residence. When officers arrived, they found Wallace to be intoxicated.

Stolen Motorcycle — Deputies are investigating the recent theft of a motorcycle from a local business.

Rex Berry of Huntingdon told deputies on September 29 that a Yamaha V6A motorcycle valued at $2,000 was taken from 22 Auto Sales at 9110 Highway 22 sometime between 11 p.m. on September 28 and 12 noon on September 29. The motorcycle was described as having a large windshield and saddle bags.

Drug Violations — Austin Dane Taylor, 27, of 58 McClure Street, McKenzie, was arrested October 2 on drug charges at a McKenzie residence.

According to the report by Deputy Christopher Adams, deputies went to 349 Walnut Circle to serve a warrant against Lesenda Gregory. While officers were searching the home, Taylor came out of a bathroom holding a shirt in his hands, and a white plastic bag containing a substance believed to be marijuana fell out of the shirt onto the floor. Similar bags were found floating in the toilet and under a plunger. Four pills were also found.
