Councilman Townes Receives Judicial Diversion
From the Jun 10, 2025 e-EditionHUNTINGDON (May 28) — McKenzie Councilman Jessie Townes received judicial diversion on charges of Assault on a First Responder during the May 28 General Sessions hearing.
Townes was charged with assaulting an officer when he was reported to have interferred with a traffic stop of his wife.
Townes must pay $525 to McKenzie Police Department and serve probation. His case can be expunged in one year.
Charges of Prevent/Obstruct Service of Legal Process were dismissed.
