NASHVILLE (May 11) — According to the Tennessee Department of Health, the number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Tennessee increased over the week. Presently, there are 15,544 positive cases (up from 13,571 one week earlier) and a total of 252 deaths (up from 219 one week earlier). The numbers represent the total number of positive cases during the 2020 pandemic. A total of 1,344 patients were hospitalized and 8,038 have totally recovered.
In Carroll County, there has been one death, 17 recovered and 21 positive cases. A total of 804 were diagnosed as negative.
In Henry County, 13 have recovered of 15 positive cases and 865 tested negative.
In Weakley County, 22 have recovered of 24 positive cases and 747 tested negative.
In the United States, as of May 10, a total of 1,300,696 positive cases were reported in 2020 with 78,771 deaths, according to Centers for Disease Control.
