Baptist Memorial Hospital Is Ready to Serve

Baptist Memorial Health Care’s systemwide infection prevention team has been planning for weeks to ensure all Baptist entities are prepared. We follow all CDC guidelines when screening and caring for patients. We have provided training along with personal protective equipment for employees, and we isolate patients appropriately. Our hospital is safe, and we are ready to care for all patients who enter our facility. We encourage diligence in following CDC’s recommendations to prevent flu, COVID-19, or any other respiratory illness. If you have fever, cough or shortness of breath and/or have been exposed to the disease, you should contact your physician, call the emergency department, or go to one of our testing sites. If you have questions about COVID-19, please visit Baptist’s coronavirus website at baptistonline.org/coronavirus.

Lakeside Senior Living Community

Lakeside Senior Living Community in McKenzie continues its lockdown and is following the guidelines from the Tennessee Department of Health, Center for Disease Control, and state and federal authorities.

All personnel are screened at the front door via temperature scan and CDC recommended questionnaire. There are no visitors allowed at this time. Lakeside encourages families to use a multitude of technology to stay connected. (Facebook, FaceTime, phones, etc.)

Food and suppliers are meeting the needs of the residents with on-time deliveries.

The management appreciates the support residents’ families, friends and community partners have given Lakeside’s residents. We have had donations of puzzles, books, magazines, word search books, tv tables for residents to eat on...the list is endless. This has truly brought to the forefront what we all knew-McKenzie and Carroll County is a great place to call home!

Family Medical Clinic of Trezevant

Family Medical Clinic of Trezevant is open. The COVID 19 has affected us in many ways. Our overall way of providing care has changed. We triage patients in their cars, patients wait in cars until we are ready for them and we don’t allow anyone in the waiting room!

As healthcare workers, we are scared too. We deal with patients fears while trying to prevent our patients from seeing ours. We are scared we may bring this home to our family. Lack of proper resources in our area such as N95 masks to prevent transmission to us is scarce. This is frightening. I truly love my job and my patients. My staff are scared. I spend a good deal of time reassuring them while trying to remain positive and the patient volume in primary care is overflowing.

In the rural setting we are severely limited in Telehealth because of regulations placed years ago. We are waiting for TennCare and Medicare to change these rules so we can provide Telehealth visits to reduce our exposure.

You can reach me at 731-935-9463 or 731-669-3863.
