PARIS (January 25) — Emily Raines was crowned Hostess Princess for the 2020 World’s Biggest Fish Fry Saturday night. The 67th Annual Pageant was at the Krider Performing Arts Center in Paris.

Raines, age 17, is a freshman at Bethel and is the daughter of Jason and Natalie Raines.

She reigns over the World’s Biggest Fish Fry in April along with her court: First Maid Victoria Owen; Second Maid Lexi Daniels; Third Maid Samantha Clark; and Fourth Maid Jessica Whalen.

Raines received a $1,000 scholarship check from Commercial Bank & Trust presented by Olivia Rice.

A total of 16 young ladies competed in the pageant, which is the largest number of participants in several years.

The World’s Biggest Fish Fry is sponsored by the Paris-Henry County Jaycees. This year’s general manager is Loria Plunk. Pageant chairpersons were Lisa Dicus and Cecilia Casey.
