Family Medical Clinic of Trezevant

Family Medical Clinic of Trezevant is open. The COVID 19 has affected us in many ways. Our overall way of providing care has changed. We triage patients in their cars, patients wait in cars until we are ready for them and we don’t allow anyone in the waiting room!
As healthcare workers, we are scared too. We deal with patients fears while trying to prevent our patients from seeing ours. We are scared we may bring this home to our family. Lack of proper resources in our area such as N95 masks to prevent transmission to us is scarce. This is frightening. I truly love my job and my patients. My staff are scared. I spend a good deal of time reassuring them while trying to remain positive and the patient volume in primary care is overflowing.

In the rural setting we are severely limited in Telehealth because of regulations placed years ago. We are waiting for TennCare and Medicare to change these rules so we can provide Telehealth visits to reduce our exposure.
