McKENZIE (July 30) — The early bird gets the produce. McKenzie Farmers Market shoppers who arrived early bought their pick of cantaloupes, honeydew melons, squash, zucchini, onions, potatoes, cucumbers, peas, and green beans, and we had a tasty treat this week with the Milam’s heirloom tomatoes. They may look a little different, but the taste brings you back to the tomatoes many of us grew up with.
