Would you like to make a little extra money while enjoying gardening, crafts or baking? If so, you should plan to attend the Gardening and Farmers Market class on Saturday, April 6, 8:30 a.m. until noon in the Training Room at McKenzie City Hall.
UT Extension Agent Kenny Herndon will conduct classes on vegetable gardening and discuss the rules and regulations concerning the selling of food-related items at Farmers Markets throughout the state.
Selling produce, home-baked items and crafts are all good ways to add a little household income. The McKenzie Farmers Market typically opens the first Saturday in June and is open every Saturday through the end of September.
