McKENZIE — A 29-year-old Hornbeak man died in a single car accident on State Route 124, between McKenzie and the Pillowville Community in Weakley County.
Clay Mayhall was driving westbound in a 2003 Mitsubishi when the car exited the roadway, hit a ditch, and overturned. No additional information was available on the sketchy trooper report. The obituary indicates he died at 12:06 a.m., Sunday, July 28 at the Martin hospital.
The trooper report indicates a passenger, Camaron Jones, 34, was injured.
Clay Mayhill was born July 23, 1990, in Las Vegas, Nevada, son of Thomas Keith Mayhall of Pillowville and Catherine (Faulkner) Mayhall of Union City. He married Sarah (Spicer) Mayhall June 29, 2019. She survives. He was a 2008 graduate of Obion County Central High School. He worked for six years at the City of Union City Water Department and currently with the Obion County Highway Department. He leaves a son.
