HUNTINGDON (February 25) — The Town Council of Huntingdon approved the financial audit report for the year ending June 30, 2019 during its February 25 meeting at City Hall.
Mayor Dale Kelley said auditors had no adverse findings on the financial report. The indicated the net fund balances of the various departments were as follows: General Fund increased $416,707; the Dixie Performing Arts Center had an increase of $33,228; Public Improvement had a decrease of $124,497 because of a carry-forward of a project in which funded was received one year earlier and spent in the 2019 budget, Drug Fund had an increase of $56,642, Utility Fund had an increase of 4668,852, and Industrial Board had an increase of $38,932.
The Board also held a public hearing and the second and final reading on mid-year budget amendments for the 2020 fiscal year budget.
In final business, the Board approved the Team Lady Jaxx to use Edwards Park on Sunday afternoons and Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning March 1.
