McKENZIE, Tenn. - Funeral services for Irene Eaton are Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday, 11 a.m. – service time. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery.

Mrs. Eaton, 92, died Sunday, February 25, 2024, at her residence.  She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. She was born in Dyersburg, Tenn. on August 31, 1931 to Hyder and Pauline Comer Ham.

She is survived by her children, Larry (Betty) Eaton, Ricky (Cathy) Eaton, Tim (Michelle) all of McKenzie, Ronnie (Debbie) Eaton of Milan, Joey (Jhanettia) Eaton of Tenn. City, Darla (Mike) Hicks of Chesapeake Bay, Virginia, and Melissa Moore of McKenzie, brother, Elmer (Effie) Ham of Dyersburg, 16 grandchildren, Jonathan (Anna) Eaton, Cari House, Eric Eaton, Alex Eaton, Michael (Jessica) Eaton, Matthew (Hailee) Eaton, Zachary Champion, Ryan Eaton, Jason (Anna) Eaton, Nichole (John) McKinney, Greg Eaton, Angela Fowler, Kristen Dienst, Colton (Cari Gean) Moore, Kyle Moore and Brenda (Roger) Christian, 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 65 years, Vance Eaton, daughter Mary Melton, sisters Judy Lee, Martha Mitchell, and Rosie Sanders, and brothers, OC Ham, John Ham, and Willard Ham.
