HUNTINGDON (June 8) — The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center and The Jackson Symphony provided a night under the stars featuring “Music Around the World” - a free, summer event on Thursday, June 8, 2023, on the campus of the Carroll County Courthouse.

Starting at 6:30 p.m., The Jackson Symphony took its audience on an exciting trip around the world performing music from America’s favorite classics to exciting pieces from other countries. It featured singer John-Alex Warner and musicians of The Jackson Symphony, including keyboardist, Dr. Keith Herris of McKenzie.

Audience members sat in their lawnchairs on the street as the Symphony performed.

This performance was provided through the support of Paula Atkins, Clarksburg’s Mayor Howell Wayne Todd, and the Tenn. Arts Commission and is free and open to the public. If there’s inclement weather, the event will be moved inside The Dixie. For more information, visit DixiePAC.net.

This project was supported, in whole or in part, by federal award number SLFRP5534 awarded to the State of Tennessee by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
