Mr. James Edward Hodge, 92, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis.

Graveside funeral services are Friday, August 5, 2022, at 11 a.m.   at Prospect Cemetery with Bro. James Keen officiating.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday, 5 to 8 p.m.

Mr. Hodge was born September 27, 1929 in Yuma, Tennessee, to the late Kazie and Thelma (Hilliard) Hodge. He retired from Rockwell International as a supervisor, a member of Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church, and served in the Army during the Korean War. 

Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by four sisters, Brooxie Sollenberger, Alla Mae Arriaga, Mary Miller, Shelvie MacArthur, and one brother, Richard Hodge.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Elva (Smother) Hodge, one son, Mark Andrew Hodge, two brothers, Edgar David Hodge (Connie) of Elmore, Alabama, and Robert Earl Hodge (Deidre) of Jackson. He also leaves two grandchildren, Anthony James Hodge and Cameron Joseph Hodge.
