Posted
McKENZIE (November 21) — McKenzie’s Lady Rebels hosted Huntingdon on Monday night, November 21 in a solo game due to the Rebels not having enough players not involved in football to put a team on the floor. Both girls’ teams had already seen basketball action with the season starting last week.

The first few minutes of the first period were close for both teams posting up shots inside and landing multiple three pointers. The Lady Rebels began pulling away late in the period building a 24-14 lead by the end of the period.

The two teams played a close second period with McKenzie edging the Fillies 18-13 to lead 42-27 at halftime. The Lady Rebels continued extending their lead in the third period leading 61-38 by the end of the period. McKenzie got hot again from the arc hitting five three-pointers in the fourth period and rolling to an 82-58 win over the Fillies.

The Lady Rebels posted four in double figures led by Savannah Davis with 26 points. 17 of those points came in the first half. Kylie Reynolds had 18 points including four three-pointers. Briley Auvenshine and Mikayla Reynolds added 12 points and 11 points for McKenzie. Katie Chesser contributed nine points while Sophie Pate and Hannah Dillingham chipped in a three-pointer each.
