Little Achieved Regarding Firearms Reform

NASHVILLE (August 29) — Governor Bill Lee, during a special session of the Tennessee Legislature, had four of his proposed bills pass in both chambers. Part of the legislation appropriates more than $100 million in public safety funding. According to Governor Lee’s office, he presented “legislative and budget priorities during the public safety special session to keep Tennessee communities safe, support law enforcement and address mental health, all while preserving constitutional rights.”
