The McKenzie High School golf teams recently wrapped up the regular season with a series of victories, including big wins at home on Senior Night.

Monday, August 31 was the last home match and Senior Night for the 2020 golf season. The five senior golfers were honored at the course and joined by family members. The seniors include: Maggie Glass, Johnathan Moore, Logan Green, Nathan Nanney and Matt Espey.

The teams played on a soggy course as rain continued off-and-on throughout the match. The MHS teams did not let the rain or the soggy course stop them from claiming victory during their last home match.

The ladies were led by Maggie Glass shooting a 32, and Juleyanne Weatherford shot 43 to complete the team’s score of 75. The ladies secured wins over Huntingdon with a 103 and Union City with a 116.

On Thursday, September 3, the team traveled to Magic Valley Golf Course in Camden to play against Camden and Henry County. With all of the recent heavy rains, the teams faced a course that was challenging due to the soft grounds. The McKenzie golf teams faced the challenge and persevered.
