Assault — Carla Kay Wagner, 36, Park Circle, McKenzie, was charged with Assault on November 7.
Officer Sean Beck answered a call to Park Circle where two females were arguing. The report indicates Wagner admitted to striking the victim in the face after an argument. She was cited into Weakley County General Sessions for Simple Assault.
Sexual Battery — Michael Leon Fulcher, 71, Forrest Circle, McKenzie, was charged with Sexual Battery after an incident on Forrest Circle on November 4.
Officer Kyle Beauchamp filed a report after interviewing three juveniles who appeared at Fulcher’s front door to give away kittens. That is supposedly when one of the girls was reportedly touched inappropriately. Fulcher was transported to Carroll County Jail.
Criminal Trespass — Maurice Lawrence, 30, Coleman Road, Memphis was charged with Criminal Trespass on November 11 after he was on the property of Pockets Convenience Store.
Lawrence had been banned from the property. Lawrence was taken into custody.
Outstanding Warrant — Legarrick O. Scott, 33, Highway 104, Lexington, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for Aggravated Child Abuse.
Officer Dustin McClure stopped Scott’s vehicle for a rear light not operating. A check of his license indicated the outstanding warrant. Scott was transported to Carroll County Jail.
Evading Arrest — Rashad Javon Brown, 35, Hickory Hills Road, Memphis was charged with Resisting Arrest, Evading Arrest, and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign on November 7 after he fled from officers in his vehicle and on foot.
Officer Austin Jones witnessed a gray sedan traveling at a high rate of speed on Stonewall. It crossed the railroad tracks and headed on Hamilton, driving very erratic and in the parking lot of Hamilton Street Apartments. The officer arrived and noticed the sedan heading towards the officer’s marked patrol car, pulled alongside the car, stopped and looked in the eyes of Officer Jones, and then sped off. A 911 call indicated the car pulled behind the last apartment on Park Circle. When officers arrived, they found Brown standing behind the vehicle with the trunk open. When Brown saw the officers, he fled on foot and ignored commands to stop. A laptop in the rear seat revealed it belonged to Rashad Brown. A check of his driving history indicated a suspended license. The abandoned vehicle was towed by D&D Wrecker. Later, officers observed Brown walking near Webb School, but again he was able to evade officers.
Fugitive from Justice — Jacquez DeMarcus, 31, Eupora, Mississippi, was arrested on an outstanding Failure to Appear warrant out of Mississippi on November 11.
Officer Dustin McClure made a traffic stop for speeding and learned of DeMarcus’ warrant. He was transported to Carroll County Jail and held for Mississippi authorities.
Simple Possession — Marlena Alexis Flores, 30, Everett Street, McKenzie was charged with Simple Possession, Casula Exchange after an incident at Park Cove.
Officer Sean Beck filed a report indicating a 911 call sounded as if a fight was occurring at the residence. The report indicates a strong odor of marijuana was present. A warrant allowed a search of the premises, where Flores claimed ownership of the drugs.
