PARIS, Tenn. (February 27, 2024) The Henry County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division has been investigating a case involving the Financial Exploitation of an elder.
The case stems from a person that was employed by the victim’s family as a sitter. Shortly after the sitter was terminated, it was discovered that cash and other items were missing from the victim’s home. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, 24th Drug Task Force, and Henry County Sheriff’s Office Patrol officers executed a search warrant at 845 Broadview Rd, Springville, TN. on February 22, the residence of Melony Jones (former employee) and did recover evidence that led to Mrs. Jones being charged with Theft over $60,000 and Poss. Of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver. The investigation is ongoing as any other persons who profited from this crime can and will be charged.
