Middle School Football Jamboree is Saturday

McKENZIE — The 2023 middle school football season kicks off Saturday, August 5 with the McKenzie Middle School Football Jamboree at Randy Thomas Stadium. Beginning at 4 p.m., local middle school teams will compete using half of the football field, allowing for two games to play simultaneously. The games are broken into two 18-minute halves with hydration breaks.

Admission is $5 at the gate and $4 in advance. Concessions are available.

The jamboree is composed of five total quarters.

In quarter one, Huntingdon faces Inman on one side of the field, and Gibson County faces Stewart County on the other side.

In the second quarter, Martin’s junior varsity faces Lexington’s junior varsity, and Waverly faces Dresden.

In the third quarter, Martin’s varsity team faces Lexington’s varsity team, and West Carroll faces Camden.

In quarter four, Decatur County faces Murray, and Milan’s junior varsity faces McKenzie’s junior varsity.
In the fifth and final quarter, Greenfield faces Henderson North, and McKenzie’s varsity team faces Milan’s varsity team.
