Richard “Ricky” Douglas Smith

HUNTINGDON  - Mr. Richard “Ricky” Douglas Smith, 68, of Huntingdon, Tennessee died Sunday, October 29, 2023 at his home.

Funeral services were  Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 11 a.m. with Bro. Jimmy Furr officiating.  Interment followed at Carroll Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers who served were Don Ledford, L. T. Kee, Clint Kee, Dennis Bush, Carl Wallace, and Larry Wilson.  Honorary pallbearers were Dwayne Walls, Ernest Douglas, Willard Sullivan, Riley Sullivan, and John Cole.

Mr. Smith was born June 25, 1955 in Milan, Tennessee.  He was self-employed as a construction worker and a member of First Baptist Church in Huntingdon. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry N. Smith and a half-brother, Jeff Smith.

He is survived by one daughter, Lesley Smith of Key West, Florida, one son, Brian Smith of Hendersonville, his mother, Sue Smith, one sister, Barbara Smith Tyson, both of Huntingdon, one brother, David Smith of Boise, Idaho, his long-time friend, Kay Robison, who will miss him dearly.  He also leaves one grandson, Xander Smith.
