A 23-year old Paris man was the victim of a road rage incident Saturday night on Hwy 79. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office received a call shortly after 10:30 p.m. stating that someone had been robbed and shot by someone in a white Chevy truck. According to reports, the incident started in the “bottom” between McKenzie and Trezevant when something occurred between the two motorists. The two vehicles stopped in the Railroad Street area of Trezevant.
According to Trezevant Police Chief Mike Mulligan, the victim, Christopher Howard, was life-flighted to Vanderbilt where it was discovered he had been stabbed and not shot. Howard has since been released from the hospital. The incident remains under investigation.
