Schedule II Meth Charge — Brian Nicholas Taylor, 24, of Alamo was charged with Possession of Schedule II Meth with Intent to Sell on March 11 with his bond set at $50,000.

Deputy Chance M. Townes initiated a traffic stop on Taylor’s vehicle for not having a registration license plate light.

Townes noticed Taylor was extremely nervous, speaking very fast and his hands were shaking. He asked to search the vehicle which Taylor agreed. The female passenger, Rachel Barnes, 28, of Alamo, was asked to exit the vehicle. After she exited the vehicle, she told the officer she had to urinate. Townes said this is a true sign that she was trying to get rid of something on her person.

Townes searched the vehicle where he located underneath the passenger seat, a black magnetic box that contained a white crystal residue.

Barnes then told Taylor to tell the officer what was going on.

The deputy’s K-9 was deployed for a search and indicated where the female was standing.

Female deputy Dakota Meier searched Barnes and discovered four small baggies and two larger baggies located in her genital area.

The baggies were believed to contain 57.6 grams of methamphetamine and that Taylor was transporting them for resale and using the vehicle to transport them. The 2014 Ford Explorer was seized by Townes.

Possession of Schedule VI (Marijuana) — Cloie J. Bolin, 22, of Milan, was charged with Possession of Schedule VI (marijuana) after the narcotic was noticed in her vehicle while her vehicle was parked at West Carroll Junior/Senior High School in Atwood on March 12.

SRO Tyler J. Haley was walking through the school’s parking lot when he noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. He also saw sitting in the center console a half filled bottle of Crown Royal Regal Apple alcoholic beverage.

Finally, she came out of the building and placed her three children inside the vehicle and started to leave.

The officer ask her about the marijuana and she admitted there was. She handed him a smoked blunt. Found in the vehicle was a leafy green substance in the console that weighted 8 grams.

He gave her a warning on the alcoholic beverage and was given a ten-day notice to book in the jail on the marijuana charge.

Violation of the Leash Law — Deputy Ryan W. Hamilton responded to a call in regards to three dogs charging a woman at 9724 Old Stage Rd. in Cedar Grove.

Hamilton responded to 9660 Old Stage Rd. to Charles Gary Merritt’s residence where the dogs owner lived.

He advised Merritt, 80, that he was there on March 9 for the same reason and had told him that he had to control his dogs.

Merritt was cited for dogs at large with his court date set for March 20.

Aggravated Assault — Amy Marie Bivens, 29, of Hollow Rock was charged with Aggravated Assault in the stabbing of her husband on March 8.

Deputy Dillon Crowe responded to a call in reference to a stabbing of Jason Bivens, 28. The officer noticed a stab wound in the inner part of Bivens’ left leg.

While on the scene he spoke with a witness who saw part of the stabbing.

The witness said she saw Mr. Bivens running from Mrs. Bivens after which he was laying on the ground and asking, “Why did you do this Amy?”

Then the witness noticed Mr. Bivens bleeding from his leg while Mrs. Bivens left the scene.

Later the deputy interviewed Mrs. Bivens who said Mr. Bivens pushed her down and was coming at her and she picked up something off the ground, not knowing what it was and “got his leg with it.”

Later the officers searched Mr. Bivens’ pants after he inquired that some money and his identification.

Sgt. Scotty Davis and Investigator Eric Sawyers did locate eight twenty dollar bills, but no identification card was found.

Driving on Suspended License, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia — Earl Lee Kindler, 57, of Bruceton was charged on March 7 with Driving on Suspended License and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia by Deputy Dakota R. Meier.

The deputy conducted a traffic stop on Kindler as he traveled on the Bruceton-Vale Rd. for failing to maintain the lane. His driver’s license being suspended.

The time was 3:05 a.m. Kindler said he had been at a friend’s house working on his truck.

Upon searching the vehicle, the deputy found syringes and needles and several cotton pieces from q-tips. These items were inside a glasses’ case that was hidden behind the glove box in the dash.

Possession of Schedule II (Meth), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia — Kenny Free McCaig, 35, of Huntingdon was charged with Possession of Schedule II (Meth) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia by Deputy Chance M. Townes on March 8.

At 1:19 a.m. Townes initiated a traffic stop on Highway 104 for not maintaining the lane. There he made contact with the driver, who was not charged. There was a female, Blaire McCaskill, 29, address not on report in the vehicle who had two active warrants from Gibson County.

McCaig was discovered in the back seat of the vehicle and had an active warrant from Gibson County with a $100,000 bond.

After a search by the K-9, a small green container in Kenny’s jacket pocket contained a glass pipe and a small baggy of white crystal of meth. Also located a small cloth bag in the back seat that contained another plastic baggy that had meth in it. Deputy Daniel Thomas transported McCaig to Carroll County Jail while Deputy Townes transported Blaire to the county line for Gibson County authorities to pick up.
