Mr. T. C. Chandler, Jr. 101, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Saturday, November 4, 2023, at his home.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations be made to First Presbyterian Church in Huntingdon Grounds, P. O. Box 651, Huntingdon, TN 38344.

Funeral services are Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Mathis officiating.  Interment followed in Long Rock Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Michael Bales, Joey Bales, Brayden Bales, Tim Bennett, Michael Bennett, and Buddy Leach.  Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Lee Rogers and Bob Chase.

Mr. Chandler was born September 25, 1922, in Huntingdon, Tennessee, to the late Thomas Claude and Maggie Lee (Woods) Chandler.  He worked at Norandal, U.S.A. as a maintenance engineer, a member of First Presbyterian Church in Huntingdon, and a member of the Huntingdon Masonic Lodge #106.  He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.  Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ceril Chandler, Clarence Chandler, a half-brother, Jack Chandler and a half-sister, June Borky.

He is survived by his loving wife of 78 years, Leona Chandler, one daughter, Linda Bales (David) of Huntingdon, one son, David Neal Chandler of Charlotte.  He also leaves two grandchildren, Michael Bales (Kim), Joey Bales, two great-grandchildren, Brayden Bales and Lainey Bales.
