TENNESSEE (January 16, 2024) TVA  requests a public appeal for Voluntary Load Reduction by All Customers. System power demand is anticipated to increase which could challenge system generation capacity. Customers are asked to please conserve power consumption to help alleviate demand to the TVA power grid. This conservation notice will continue until TVA provides notice of its termination. Carroll County Electric will share notice when the conservation request has cleared.

 

*** TVA ELCP Step 20 Initiation Notice ***

 

TVA is initiating ELCP Step 20 of the TVA/TVPPA Emergency Load Curtailment Program.

TVA will be contacting the public media to broadcast an appeal for all consumers to conserve their use of electrical energy, effective Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

TVA/Carroll County Electric are requesting voluntary load reductions during peak hours. 

Conservation during peak hours are to continue until you are notified otherwise by TVA.
