Watershed Authority Approves Boat Docks

HUNTINGDON (November 24) — Two requests to install floating boat docks on the Carroll County 1000-Acre Recreation Lake was approved by the Carroll County Watershed Authority.
Meeting were members Natalie Porter, chairman, Joseph Butler and Dale Kelley along with Joe Smothers voting via telephone, the requests were easily approved for Kevin Clark at 340 Southern Shores Pointe, Lot 110, along with Jeff and Meredith Fuller, Kyle Road, LakePoint Estates, Lot 6. Each has to pay a one-time fee of $5,000 plus $100 per year on years two to 10, and $25 each subsequent year.
The lone other business was an approved request to clear some underbrush to install a “pine savanna” with pin trees 25 to 30 feet apart with a variety of grasses.
Kelley said presently, there are 16 homes under construction in the lake planning region.
