COLLIERVILLE - Kyle Colwick died unexpectedly on May 3, 2022, at the age of 22.  He was a gifted athlete from an early age.  Kyle played football, basketball, and rugby for Riverdale, Schilling Farms Middle, and Collierville High School.  He also played basketball for Team Penny AAU.  Kyle earned several honors and awards including the Tennessee State Rugby Championship, South District Middle School All-Tournament Basketball Team, and the Tennessee AAU State Basketball Championship.  

Kyle is survived by his mother, Shannon Jones Colwick, his father, Chris Colwick, brothers, Houston and Christopher Colwick, maternal grandmother, Glenda King Jones, aunt, Sharon Jones Mason (Miles), uncle, Joe B. Jones II (Julie), and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Judge Joseph Boyle Jones of the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals and paternal grandparents, Peggy Houston Morris and Coach Bill Colwick, both of McKenzie.

There will be a funeral Mass on Saturday, May 28, 12 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 190 Adams Avenue, Memphis.  Visitation will be before Mass from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.  \In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
