MURFREESBORO — Colton King, a 2023 graduate of Huntingdon High School, placed second in the 1,600-meter run in the Class 1A, 2A State Track and Field Championship in Murfreesboro. He had a combined time of 4:25.457 for three races. The winning runner was Will Douglas of Camden Central, with a combined time of 4:25.40 for three races. more
The Huntingdon Middle School recognized its student-athletes at the annual banquet on Tuesday for the spring sports of girls’ soccer, boys’ soccer, baseball, and girls’ volleyball. The athletes for each sport all received a certificate of participation. more

HUNTINGDON (February 28) — The 2022-23 Huntingdon Middle School Boys’ Basketball Team was honored by the Town of Huntingdon Mayor and Council during the February 28 meeting. Mayor Nina Smothers read a proclamation that proclaimed February 28 as Huntingdon Middle School Boys’ Basketball Team Day in Huntingdon. more

HUNTINGDON (February 7) — Martin Westview Lady Chargers edged the Huntingdon Fillies in a district battle that lived up to a promise of a championship-style game between two of the top Class 2A teams in the state. more
HUNTINGDON (January 27) — Huntingdon’s Lilly Kee joined the 1,000 high school career points club during the game against Union City on January 24 in an away game. more
MURFREESBORO (January 28) — For the second time in school history, the Huntingdon Middle School Mustangs have claimed a state basketball championship. The Mustangs battled Thurman Francis Middle School in a 55-26 championship win in the James C. Haile State Basketball Tournament. more
The state ranked Huntingdon Fillies defeated Union City on Tuesday and lost to state-ranked Gibson County during the final week of action in January. All compete in Class 12 2-A. more
HUNTINGDON — The Huntingdon Fillies flattened the Milan Lady Bulldogs 84-34. The Fillies dominated in the first quarter scoring 37 points off the bat. more
MARTIN (January 20) — The Fillies’ and Lady Chargers’ lived up to its billing - a must-watch game. And the final result was not certain until the final minute when the Lady Chargers eked out a 59-54 victory in a district contest featuring the two Class 2A teams. more

HUNTINGDON (January 13) — The Huntingdon Fillies topped the Gleason Lady Bulldogs 60-38 on homecoming night. The Fillies held the Lady Bulldogs to single digits during the first half.  more

McKENZIE (November 21) — McKenzie’s Lady Rebels hosted Huntingdon on Monday night, November 21 in a solo game due to the Rebels not having enough players not involved in football to put a team on the floor. Both girls’ teams had already seen basketball action with the season starting last week. more
HUNTINGDON (November 18) — In football, they say it’s hard to beat a team twice in the same season. The Huntingdon Mustangs accomplished that feat defeating Union City 27-20 at Union City on Friday, October 28 and 14-3 Friday night, November 18, at home in the third round of the state playoffs. more
McKENZIE (November 19) — Huntingdon’s Fillies participated in a basketball double header at McKenzie on Saturday afternoon playing Obion Central. more
MEMPHIS (November 11) — Huntingdon hit the road to Memphis Fairley for round two of the state playoffs after defeating Memphis Mitchell in round one. The Mustangs took care of business on a chilly night in South Memphis eliminating the Fairley Bulldogs 48-6 and advancing to the third round on Friday. more
