Members of the McKenzie High School Homecoming Royalty were selected by nominations from each homeroom. The M-Club then selected the five beautiful young ladies being presented Friday. The basketball teams and cheerleaders chose the queen from these five young ladies.

The Pharmacy Podcast Network (PPN) announced the winners of the 2023, 50 Most Influential Leaders in Pharmacy. Dr. Jay Phipps claimed the #2 spot. According to PPN, one of the reasons Dr. Phipps was selected was his role as the immediate past president of the Tennessee Pharmacist Association’s major Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) reform.

HUNTINGDON (January 17) — The contract of Dr. Jonathan Kee, director of schools, was extended by unanimous vote by the Huntingdon Special School District Board of Education on January 17. Dr. Kee’s contract now extends to June 30, 2026, after the one-year extension.

The State Review Board of the Tennessee Historical Commission is meeting Wednesday, January 24, to discuss eight sites from across the state that may be placed on The National Register of Historic Places. Of those eight nominees, McKenzie’s historic Webb School is one of those to be discussed.
