McKENZIE (November 11) — Continuing a long-standing tradition, McKenzie High School hosted area veterans and presented a program to honor their service to America. The 10 a.m. ceremony on Veterans Day is conducted annually by the Student Government Association and features student presenters, the MHS Band and a featured speaker who served in the military. more

HUNTINGDON (November 11) — Veterans Day, an appropriate day to unveil the sign along a portion of Veterans Drive in Huntingdon named in honor of retired Air Force Colonel James C. Harding of Huntingdon. more
The Morning Glory Garden Club has a long-standing tradition of planting trees in memory of deceased club members and for the husbands, parents and children of members. more
McKENZIE (November 1) — A small group of alumni from McKenzie High School are developing an alumni association for those who attended McKenzie High School. The third such meeting was held November 1 at the McKenzie High School Library. more
PARIS (November 5) — The Marching War Eagles of West Carroll High School traveled to Henry County High School this past weekend to compete in the Division I Tenn. State Marching Band Championships. Even with the rain and wind the band went into their preliminary performance with the best show to date, according to the news release. more

PARIS — Henry County Medical Center (HCMC) welcomed eight new third-year medical students from Lincoln Memorial University’s DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine to campus on Friday, July 15. Following the onboarding process, the students began to assist healthcare providers in the hospital and within clinics in the surrounding area.  more
HUNTINGDON — Bethel University’s Renaissance Theatre is offering one more weekend of Phantom of the Opera at The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center in Huntingdon. It is a tremendous show performed by extremely talented actors and vocalists.  more

McKENZIE (October 27) — Hospital Drive in McKenzie no longer includes a hospital, but there are still medical facilities, a new high-tech company, and a newly renovated headquarters for Carroll County Emergency Medical Services (EMS).  more
McKENZIE (October 29) — McKenzie Elementary School hosted its annual Fall Fest on Saturday, October 29 and generated approximately $24,000 for the school. MES Parent-Teacher Organization, faculty and other staff organized the event, which included silent auctions of merchandise donated by area merchants, teachers, and other community members, games for the kids, and costume contests. more
