TENNESSEE (April 29) — Average gasoline prices in Tennessee rose 2.1 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.23/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 3,821 stations in Tennessee. Prices in Tennessee are 11.2 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 1.8 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel fell 2.9 cents in the last week and stands at $3.98 per gallon.

Quick and Easy Cobbler
Melt 1 stick of butter in pan.
Mix 1 cup flour 1 cup sugar 1 cup milk 1 teaspoon baking powder.
Pour batter over butter in pan. Pour fruit over batter. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Most any fruit will do. If using fresh or frozen fruit, sweeten to taste.

BOSTON (April 15) — McKenzie’s Mark Smith participated in the 128th Boston Marathon and completed the 26.2-mile race in less than three hours with an average pace of 6:49 per mile. This is an incredible feat considering that the average marathon time for men is approximately 4 hours and 21 minutes, and for women is around 4 hours and 48 minutes.
