TREZEVANT (November 2) — On December 22, 2019, a two-year-old Atticus Finn Ecker wore a red eye mask, cheesed for the camera and said, “I’m a superhero.” His little voice was halfway between a baby still learning to talk and a little boy who was growing up too fast. more
McKENZIE (November 3) — The McKenzie Rebels opened the first round of the TSSAA State Football Playoffs with a 31-14 win over the Cornersville Bulldogs. Despite the Bulldogs taking an early lead, the Rebels took the lead and held strong for the remainder of the game. more
HUNTINGDON (November 3) — On Friday, Huntingdon welcomed Waverly to Paul Ward stadium for the first round of 2A TSSAA playoffs. The Mustangs defense kept the Tiger offense scoreless through four quarters. Their offense easily controlled the ball as they scored nine touchdowns for the night, posting a final score of 62-0. The Mustangs advance in the playoffs and host the Milan Bulldogs for a quarterfinal rematch this Friday night. more

The McKenzie Marching Rebels finished seventh in the state Division 1 State Competition on Saturday at Independence High School. more
McKENZIE — Bethel Director of Sports Medicine Jason Essary recently announced Katelyn Robertson has joined the Bethel Athletic Department and will serve as the Wildcat team dentist. She is the owner of Webb-Robertson Dental Clinic in Huntingdon. more

McKENZIE (October 26) — During the pre-game ceremonies at McKenzie’s Rebel Stadium, the MHS seniors from football, cheer and band were honored during the last regular season home game against West Carroll. more
McKENZIE (October 24) — McKenzie’s Police and Fire departments received a $1,857 donation to their Christmas for Kids program from Drew Beeler of Hometown Hangout on Tuesday following the meet-and-greet event organized at Hometown Hangout on October 21. more

HUNTINGDON (October 25) — Carroll County Inclusion Park will soon be a reality, thanks to many donors and major contributions from the County of Carroll at $400,000, the State of Tennessee’s Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in the amount of $497,250, plus a donation of land by the Town of Huntingdon. more
Carroll County Chamber of Commerce held its annual Membership Banquet on October 23 at the Carroll County Civic Center. During the event, the Chamber presented annual awards. more
McKENZIE (October 26) — The tenth anniversary of the Boo Bash, a joint effort between Bethel University and the City McKenzie, was one of the biggest yet with approximately 3,500 people attending. more
HUNTINGDON — A joint investigation by special agent fire investigators and special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrest of a McKenzie man in connection to a house fire. more
McKENZIE (October 28) — A Saturday evening residential fire completely destroyed the home of Fred and Robyn Hatler, located on Langford Store Road, outside of McKenzie. more
