The top point of discussion and contention was Resolution 1-07-2023 to amend the budget by decreasing the salary of the Civic Center Director by $15,000 and increasing the salary of the Airport Manager. more

McKENZIE (January 13) — Friday the 13th proved to be unlucky for two men after they fled from authorities, exited the roadway and struck a tree. Both men had to be extricated from the pickup truck and the driver was airlifted to a medical facility. more

McKENZIE — Prior to the tip-off of the Bethel Wildcats game against the Campbellsville Tigers, ‘Cats Head Coach Jeff Britt was awarded his 500th career victory ball by Bethel Athletic Director Brad Chappell. Alongside him on the court as he received his award were his daughters Ashleigh and Alleigh Britt. more

Theft — On January 9, Rickey G. Doyle reported that his 2002 Heliz Hummingbird 12 Fish Finder was taken off his Hummingbird Mega 360. The report was filed for insurance purposes, Fish Finder valued at $2,600 and Hummingbird Mega 360 estimated damage valued at $1,400. more
