Mr. Bateman, age 35, died at his residence in Pontotoc, Miss. on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. He was employed by Ashley’s Furniture and worked in the human resources department. He was born June 25, 1984 in McKenzie, Tenn. to Michael O. Bateman and Laura Hazlewood Bateman.

He is survived by his parents, Mike and Laura Bateman of McKenzie, three children, Danielle Bateman of McKenzie, Jack Bateman and Scarlett Montgomery, both of Pontotoc, his wife Erikka Bateman of Pontotoc, two sisters Michele and her husband David Jarrett of McKenzie, Christie and her husband, Brad Chappell of McKenzie and brother, Michael and his wife Amanda of Pegram, and several nieces and nephews.
