LEACH, Tenn. - Mrs. Evelyn Kinningham, 96, of Leach, Tennessee, died Sunday, February 11, 2024, at her home.

Funeral services are Saturday, February 17, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Sellers officiating. Interment to follow at Christian Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are David Ballard, Rusty Ballard, Dustin Ballard, Drew Kinningham, Bennett Kinningham, and Bob Williams.

Mrs. Kinningham was born August 4, 1927, in Leach, to the late James Roscoe and Effie Mildred Belew Goodrum. She graduated from Freed Hardeman College, where she was the valedictorian of the 1945 class.  She was a teacher. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Troy Kinningham, and a brother, James Goodrum.

She is survived by a daughter, Julia Ballard (Harold) of Oreana, Illinois, a son, Alan Kinningham (Jan), of Three-Way, six grandchildren, Joy Ballard, David Ballard, Rusty Ballard, Dustin Ballard, Drew Kinningham, and Bennett Kinningham, and six great-grandchildren. She also leaves a niece, Donna Williams, and caregivers, Vonnell Fowler, Auga Floyd, and Amy Sambat.
