HUNTINGDON - Mr. Howard “Punk” Pruett, 94, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at his home.

Funeral services are  3 p.m. Friday, January 26, 2024 at Huntingdon Church of Christ. Interment will follow in Carroll Memorial Gardens. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren are officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Huntingdon Church of Christ on Friday, npon to time of service at 3 p.m.

Mr. Pruett was born February 16, 1929, to the late Ronald Imogene Pruett and Callie Pratt Pruett. He was an assistant shift engineer for TVA and a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ, where he served for 30 years as an elder. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Web Maddox; four brothers, James Pruett, Maurice Pruett, Don Pruett, and Joe Pruett.

He is survived by his wife of over 67 years, Marilyn Pruett; two daughters, Jennifer (Walter) Butler and Julia Maddox; one son, Michael (Stephanie) Pruett, all of Huntingdon, Tennessee; two sisters, Patsy (Ray) McDaniel of Westport, Tennessee and Jeanne Pruett of Lebanon, Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Rachel (Lyle) Holmes, Murray (Erin) Butler, Andrew (Meagen) Maddox, Joseph (Megan) Butler, Thomas (Morgan) Butler, Hailey (Zack) Terry, Collin (Cara) Pruett and Kenneth Pruett; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Instead of flowers, donations may be made to Huntingdon Church of Christ.
