McKENZIE, Tenn. - Funeral Services for James Kelly Ballentine are Monday February 3, 2020 at 11 a.m. at McKenzie Church of Christ. Internment is at Hebron Methodist Church Cemetery near Hollow Rock. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home and Monday, 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Ballentine, age 77, died January 30, 2020 at Jackson-General Hospital. He is a member of McKenzie Church of Christ and retired from Tennessee Technology Center, where he worked maintenance. He was born November 22, 1942 in Brazil, Tenn.to Clifton Lee and Beulah Mae Miller Ballentine.
He is survived by his sons, Dale Ballentine and James Craig (Diana) Ballentine, all of McKenzie, eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, three sisters, Shirley Grooms of Camden, Marilyn (Danny) Gooch of Clarksburg and Linda Holfield of Bruceton and four brothers, Charles Everett Ballentine of Leach, Fred Neal (Mary) Ballentine of Greenfield, Bobby Wayne (Donnie) Ballentine of Huntingdon and Steve (Linda) Ballentine of Greenfield.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Frances Bryant, Kathryn Morgan and Lottie Kate Ballentine and brothers, William Lee Ballentine and Bill Ballentine.
