Mr. Jimmy Carl Cooper, 72, died Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at the McKenzie Healthcare and Rehab in McKenzie.

Funeral services are Friday, June 3, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Jackson and Bro. Keith Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Union Academy Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 12 p.m. until time of service.

Mr. Cooper was born June 9, 1949 in McKenzie, Tennessee to Carl Coolege and Alma Charlene (McSwain) Cooper. He was a self-employed industrial maintenance man and a member of Union Academy Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed doing missionary work for churches and orphans in Mexico. He was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Carl Cooper, Jr.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his wife of five years, Karen Cooper, a sister, Susan Burton (Mike) of Germantown, a brother, Richard Lynn Cooper (Phyllis Ann) of Bartlett, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and three children that called him “grandpa”, Nicholas, Zoey, and Lochlan Jerden.
