McKENZIE, Tenn. - Services for Joann Lee Newbill, 64, are Friday, December 20, 2019 at 11:00 am at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Kenny Carr officiating. Interment will follow at Union Academy Cemetery located on Hwy 436 in the Big Buck Community. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday, December 20, 2019 from 10:00 am until service time. Mrs. Newbill, a retired registered nurse and nursing home administrator, died Sunday, December 15, 2019 at AHC McKenzie, formerly McKenzie Healthcare Center. She was born April, 1955 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania to Michael and Louise Shingara Gobora. She was a member of Long Heights Baptist Church in McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Caleb Shawn Newbill, who died January 2, 2017.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Eddie Wayne Newbill of McKenzie, her daughter, Meagan and her husband, Scott Schweitzer of Medina, Tenn., three sisters, Michelle Bowersox, Lisa Price, and Valarie Gobora all of Pennsylvania, an three grandchildren Elsie Schweitzer, Andrew Schweitzer and Kaydence Grace Newbill.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike English, Scott Schweitzer, Kelly Schweitzer, Zachery Doran, Collin Doran, and Tim Rhodes.
